‘Woman in blanket’ murder suspect surrenders to police in N. Sembilan

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 — The man believed to be involved in the murder of a woman whose body was found wrapped in a blanket in an apartment in Prima Damansara, Petaling Jaya, last Wednesday, has surrendered himself to the police today.

Selangor CID chief, SAC Fadzil Ahmat said the suspect came to the Tampin District Police headquarters in Negri Sembilan at 1.30am.

The remand order for the 40-year-old suspect has also been issued this morning to facilitate further investigation into the case, Fadzil told Bernama when contacted here today.

Last Wednesday, the woman’s blanketed body was found under a pile of pillows in the apartment.

The initial investigation found that the woman died of suffocation and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. — Bernama
