Perak Tengah Police chief Supt Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said the police were informed of the incident by another colleague of the victim at 8.25pm.

He was allegedly shot by a colleague, the main suspect in the case, who had since gone into hiding, he said last night.

The police are now looking for the 52-year-old suspect, he said adding that a casing and bullet were found at the scene.

"Initial investigation showed that the incident might have occurred because of personal problems, but investigations are still ongoing.

"We are also looking into the closed circuit television (CCTV) in the factory to assist in our investigation,” he said. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. — Bernama
