The amount is a fraction from the RM 85,000 monthly pay earned by the previous chairman, General ® Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad.

Nungsari will assume his new role immediately following Abdullah’s resignation.

"The Prime Minister had approved of the appointment of the new chairman,” Loke said.

He expressed his confidence that Nungsari will bring his wealth of experience, spanning over 30 years in the corporate, politics and academia, to the job.

He was previously Balik Pulau MP between 1995 to 1990, and is currently managing director of Prokhas Sdn Bhd, a Ministry of Finance (MOF) Inc company.

His immediate tasks, Loke pointed out, is to find solutions in setting a ceiling prices for domestic flights and also in getting rural areas air service.
