KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 — Beginning June 1, new parking rates will be imposed at the Park & Ride facility operated by the Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) along MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line.

MRT Corp in a statement today said the new rate would reflect the reduction of the Goods and Services tax (GST) to zero per cent.

"From June 1, the parking rate at the Park & Ride facility for MRT users will be at RM4 per entry per day, while motorcyclists will be charged RM1 per admission per day.

"Those using the parking facility but not the MRT services will be charged a different rate depending on the location of the Park & Ride facility used,” the statement said.

The Park & Ride facilities run by MRT Corp are at Sungai Buloh, Phileo Damansara, Maluri, Taman Midah, Taman Suntex, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Bukit Dukung and Sungai Jernih.

Other parking facilities along the SBK Line such as Kwasa Damansara, Kwasa Sentral, Bandar Utama, Bandar Damansara and Kajang are managed by external parties. — Bernama
