PUTRAJAYA, May 30 — Tan Sri Isa Samad has resigned as the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) chairman, Transport Minister Anthony Loke confirmed today.

Speaking to reporters in Putrajaya, Loke said that Isa tendered his resignation two days ago following Loke’s own previous ultimatum for Isa to resign from his post within a week.

"He resigned two days ago,” Loke said.

Isa was told to resign after the new Pakatan Harapan (PH) government decided to absorb SPAD into the Transport Ministry.

Loke also said that while some political appointees at port authorities have resigned, there are some who still have not.

Right after taking office, he gave all political appointees of the previous government a week to resign.
