KOTA BARU, May 27 — Bersatu Kelantan Youth chief Asran Alias today suggested that Pakatan Harapan leaders in Kelantan like Amanah advisor Husam Musa, PKR Kelantan chairman Ab Aziz Kadir and Bersatu Kelantan deputy chairman Datuk Sazmi Miah be considered for ministerial posts under the senators quota.

"Asides them, leaders like Dr Mohd Radzi Mohd Jidin, Hisham Fauzi and Roslan Puteh, who are from the three parties, can also be considered for senatorships,” he said at a breaking-of-fast he hosted for the media fraternity, here today.

Despite wresting the government from the Barisan Nasional at the federal level in the 14th general election on May 9, PH, made up of Bersatu, DAP, PKR and Amanah, failed to win a single seat in Kelantan. Opposition party PAS which has been in power since 1990 retained the state with a better margin in GE14.

Unlike MPs who are elected, senators are appointed.

Elaborating further, Asran said that he would be leading a delegation to Putrajaya soon to congratulate Pakatan Harapan chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for leading the coalition to victory in GE14 and his appointment as prime minister. — Bernama
