KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 ― The expulsion of Tan Sri M. Kayveas as MyPPP president and his replacement by Datuk Seri Maglin Dennis D'Cruz is valid.
At a media conference today, D’Cruz said the decision had been agreed upon and confirmed unanimously during the 64th MyPPP Annual General Meeting at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), here today.
"This is a valid general meeting which was attended by 1,236 delegates nationwide. The meeting agreed to recognise me as the valid president and Datuk Loga Bala Mohan will assume the post of MyPPP senior vice-president,” he said.
Maglin also emphasised that the party remained with the Barisan Nasional (BN) although Kayveas yesterday announced that MyPPP was no longer part of the BN.
"What was said by Kayveas was merely his personal opinion and did not represent the party as he had already been expelled from the party and his membership expelled,” he added. ― Bernama
