PETALING JAYA, May 24 — Pakatan Harapan should carefully evaluate which election pledges it can realistically deliver instead of attempting to meet all of these hastily, said Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz.

In an interview with BFM today, the former minister nevertheless expressed her confidence in Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s administration to correct the problems caused by the Barisan Nasional government.

"If you talk about confidence, in the short term, if there are certain things that can be done in the short term, yes they can (do it).

"But there are short, medium and long term (time frames) and if the government is looking at those then I’m confident because they are starting to take parallel tracks of action,’’’ she said.

She said that while PH aimed to deliver many of these pledges in its first 100 days, the former minister said such a timeline was not practical for the more complicated reforms.

Sharing her experience as a Cabinet member under previous Mahathir administrations, she added that some ministers would be more capable than others while some would likely be a drag on the administration.

When ask on her thoughts on PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim succeeding Dr Mahathir as prime minister, she reserved comment.

"Lets not pre-empt anything,’’ Rafidah said.

Rafidah came out to openly support Dr Mahathir in the final days of campaigning in the 14th general election, providing PH with a moral boost.
