PETALING JAYA, May 23 — Investigators have counted nearly RM110 million in cash found in 35 bags seized from three luxury condominium units at Pavilion Residences in Kuala Lumpur linked to ex-prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

But that is just the beginning. Police sources said the count is set to continue in the next few days as investigators try to get an accurate value of the other luxury items in the remaining 37 bags confiscated from the condo units last week.

"Now the team is simultaneously working on getting accurate values for the other items such as the jewellery, gold bars and watches that were seized,” one of the sources said on condition of anonymity.

According to police sources, the RM110 million is in various currencies.

Investigators started counting the cash on Monday with assistance from handpicked personnel from other agencies, including Bank Negara Malaysia.

Malay Mail understands the investigators had to record the serial number of each note as the count progressed.
