KOTA KINABALU, May 13 — Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal assures that the promises made by Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) during the 14th General Election (GE14) campaign will be implemented.

He said the state government would implement a number of new approaches to govern the state.

"As we (Warisan) promised... among the approaches we will implement is not to allow state assemblymen from holding office in a statutory body.

"This is because I want all assemblymen to focus on serving the people,” he said at a news conference after he took his oath of office here last night.

He said those who are eligible and capable would be given the positions in the 61 statutory bodies.

"When an agency is well governed through several new approaches, there will be plenty of job opportunities in Sabah,” he added. ― Bernama
