KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 — Pakatan Harapan’s complete Cabinet line-up will not exceed 30 ministers, and will possibly include representative from political parties in Sabah and Sarawak, the prime minister announced today.
"We will have 25 ministers, but if we have space, if there is co-operation with parties in Sabah and Sarawak, they will appoint their candidates.
"There will not be more than 30 ministers (in total),” Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said in a "live” broadcast on RTM1.
He also said that there will be deputy ministers, but their numbers will be decided in the near future.
"If we can, we will mix it around so that the deputy (minister) will be from a different political party from the minister,” he explained.
Yesterday, it was announced that DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will be Finance Minister, Defence Minister and Home Minister.
