KUCHING, May 10 — The newly elected PKR candidate in the Puncak Borneo parliamentary seat, Willie Mongin has extended an open invitation to Barisan Nasional (BN), PBDS Baru and Parti Reformasi Negeri (STAR) members to join his and Pakatan Harapan’s struggles.

He also wanted all voters in the constituency to work together with him for the betterment of the people and Puncak Borneo.

"Our victory is not our own but it is God’s will, the victory of the people, the uprising of the voters of Sarawak.

"I also request members of the public not to address me as ‘Yang Berhormat’. Just called me ‘Willie’ will do. We are absolutely grateful for all that you have contributed to our campaign through money and in kind, volunteering and prayers,” he said in his WhatsApp message.

Willie won the Puncak Borneo seat after defeating Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate from Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Genot Sinel@Jeanoth Sinel and STAR’S candidate Buln  Ribos candidate in a three-cornered fight.

He wrested the Bidayuh majority seat with 4,005 majority votes. — Bernama
