ALOR SETAR, May 7 — DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng today denied claims that his party plans on distributing anti-Barisan Nasional propaganda until polling day.

Lim was responding to claims made by DAP’s official channel UbahTV assistant producer Amran Ahmad.

Speaking to reporters after visiting Kedah’s state capital for a ceramah, the caretaker Penang Chief Minister also denied that Amran is a special officer.

"He (Amran) is not my special officer. The reports are not true,” said Lim.

On May 5, the 41-year-old Amran, who is a DAP lifelong member, claimed that among the "slanderous” materials distributed include issues on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), Goods and Services Tax (GST), Felda, Tabung Haji and other matters pertaining to race, insult on government agencies, economy, tolls and government projects.

Yesterday, city police chief Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim said the cops will be forming a special task force to investigate the allegations.

Caretaker deputy defence minister Datuk Seri Johari Baharum has also said that he wants the authorities to take firm and stern action against the Pakatan Harapan coalition member.

Earlier, Lim addressed a crowd of hundreds who braved the blazing hot sun to hear him speak at PH’s Jelajah Harapan ceramah.
