KOTA KINABALU, May 6 — Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman today denied allegations by Parti Warisan Sabah vice president Junz Wong that he had sold Tanjung Aru Eco Development to a certain party.

The chief minister in an immediate response to Wong’s accusations said it had no basis at all.

"He said I sold Tanjung Aru Eco Development. He called a press conference to say this. He is lying, I will sue him.

"Tanjung Aru Eco development is fully owned by the state government,” he said.

Musa said this in his speech at a Barisan Nasional gathering at the Kadazandusun Cultural Association building known as Hongkod Koisan here.

Earlier today, Wong urged the Sabah government to explain an unverified letter that the state land was used to secure a loan from a Chinese consortium.

Wong claimed that he received a copy of the letter.

He said the document bore the state’s letterhead and stated that the Tanjung Aru Eco Development (TAED) was offered as collateral.

"From the contents of the letter, which I cannot verify, it seems to me that the Malaysian government, supported by the state government, has agreed to use the 840 acres of land that comes under TAED, as collateral for hybrid term loan from the China government,” he had said.

Wong had urged Musa to verify the authenticity of the letter.
