KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 — All Class I motorists (cars or vehicles with 2 axles), using three highway networks under concessionaire IJM Corporation Sdn Bhd, will enjoy a 10 per cent discount on May 9 in conjunction with the 14th general election (GE14).

The three highways involved are the Sungai Besi Highway (Besraya), New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and Kajang-Seremban Highway (Lekas) and the discount will be effective from 12.01am until midnight on May 9.

IJM Corporation Berhad Toll Division Chief Operating Officer Wan Salmawani Wan Yusoff said in a statement today, all users on the Besraya and NPE toll plazas will enjoy the discount but for the Lekas, only the Ampangan toll plaza will be involved.

"This discount is our initiative under corporate social responsibility, in conjunction with the GE14 as well as encouraging all highway users to return to vote,” she said.

In addition, Revive Isotonic drinks will also be provided free of charge to consumers (while stocks last) at all toll plazas on Besraya on May 9, while Wonda Coffee drinks will be distributed for free at all NPE highway toll plazas on May 10.

"The distribution of drinks is implemented in conjunction with our monthly activity known as FUNtastic Day, a joint venture between IJM Toll Division and Ethics Beverages Sdn Bhd for the highway users,” said Wan Salmawani. — Bernama
