YONG PENG, May 2 — Johor DAP chairman Liew Chin Tong today thanked Datuk Razali Ibrahim for the latter’s advice on humility, but said the incumbent Muar MP should focus on defending his seat.

Razali had claimed that Pakatan Rakyat’s overconfidence in Muar would be the coalition’s downfall.

Liew said the response from all the communities in Muar had been encouraging and he was happy with PH’s performance thus far.

"I would like to thank him for his advice and we know our strategies well,” he said after giving his speech at the Ceramah Bina Harapan Yong Peng tonight.

Liew also responded to Razali’s claim of neglecting Chinese voters by reminding the latter to look after his own backyard instead.

"I think there is no need for me to reveal my strategies but I think he (Razali) will lose big in Muar to Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman,” he said.

Yesterday, Razali said the Opposition pact seemed to be neglecting ethnic Chinese voters there in its bid to woo Malay voters.

"Did they go to the Chinese area here in Muar? Instead, they go the Malay area because they assumed the Chinese will vote for them,” he was quoted as saying.
