MUAR, April 29 — Changing government for purely emotional reasons can lead to regrettable situations such as those in Syria, Egypt and Libya, said Datuk Seri Razali Ibrahim.

The Barisan Nasional candidate here noted that the countries were plunged into strife and unrest after their democratically-elected governments were removed.

"I want people to be in a jovial mood and and have a good time when they go out to vote.  We should not vote out of anger or only the intent to punish the government.

"Look at what happened to Syria, Egypt and Libya. Those countries and their people face difficult situations. Some of those who pushed for a change of government now regret their decisions,” he said.
