PETALING JAYA, April 28 — Petaling Jaya mayor Datuk Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain today announced the candidates for Damansara and the three state seats in the constituency.
The parliamentary seat will see a three-cornered fight between DAP’s Tony Pua, Barisan Nasional’s Ryan Ho Kwok Xheng, and a new candidate from Parti Rakyat Malaysia, Datuk Wong Mun Kheong.
It will be the 45-year-old’s debut in Malaysian politics against Pua, the two-term incumbent, and Ho as one of BN’s youngest candidate.
Another three-cornered tussle will take place in Bandar Utama where PKR’s Jamaliah Jamaluddin, BN’s Ch’ng Soo Chau and independent candidate Peter Chong Fook Meng will contest.
In Kampung Tunku, voters will get to choose between PKR’s Lim Yi Wei and BN’s Tan Gim Tuan.
Bukit Lanjan will see PKR’s Elizabeth Wong and BN’s Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff face off.
No nominations were rejected.
