SEREMBAN, April 22 — The Negri Sembilan Barisan Nasional (BN) government has succeeded in proving that all the 44 out of 45 pledges made in the 13th General Election (GE13) had been fulfilled in line with the tagline ‘Proof, Not Merely Promises’ (Bukti, Bukan Sekadar Janji).
One more pledge namely creating an Islamic Library and Islamic Gallery will not be implemented to give priority to projects to prosper the people.
This proves that through the number of aid recipients via the pledges (Aku Janji), the poverty group is not left out from receiving aid under the Social Security Network Policy totalling more than 1.33 million people.
According to the Negri Sembilan Government Portal, for the period from 2013 until 2017, a total of 1,037,547 people were eligible to receive the 1Malaysia People’s Aid or Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M), Baitulmal (182,638 recipients), Social Welfare Department (JKM) (110,504 recipients) and the Urban Poverty Eradication Programme (PPKB), totalling 740 recipients.
In addition, Negri Sembilan was also the earliest state to achieve zero abject poverty rate in the system in April 2016. — Bernama
