KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s GE14 promise to build English-medium schools in Sabah and Sarawak is "fantastic”, incumbent Kota Belud MP Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan said tonight.

The Sabah Umno leader noted that no other leader had done so before.

"It’s a very bold move. He is giving back to us something that was taken away a long time ago.  That is fantastic news,” he told reporters after the BN manifesto launch here.

Abdul Rahman said that it is very possible for BN to create three million jobs in the next five years due to the spate of infrastructure projects in Malaysia.

"If you see, in the last nine years, we had created two million jobs. With the amount of major projects in the pipeline, we believe creating three million jobs is possible,” he said.

Najib earlier today pledged that the BN would allow English medium schools to be built in Sabah and Sarawak if it wins the 14th general election.

The BN chairman also pledged that his government would honour the 1963 Malaysia Agreement to return rights to Sabahans and Sarawakians.
