Malaysia, Qatar ink MoU to expand women’s reach in global markets

PUTRAJAYA, Feb 25 — Malaysia and Qatar have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand the reach of women entrepreneurs in global markets.

In a statement here today, the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry said the signing ceremony between Sheikhahub Malaysia and Q Signature Qatar was aimed at collaboration on businesses and activities of common interest, especially in fashion and lifestyle.

Sheikhahub Malaysia founder, Norzihan Latt and Cricely Demenjion of Q Signature signed the MoU.

The minister, Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim witnessed the signing of the MoU in Dubai.

She said the MoU would provide a platform for the two countries to leverage their reach and resources.

"The ministry is always encouraging women in Malaysia to expand their reach for global markets. My ministry is committed to provide the opportunity for women to go for global expansion,” she said in a statement.

Also present at the ceremony were Malaysian Ambassador to Qatar, Datuk Ahmad Fadil, ministry director-general Datuk Yatimah Sarjiman and Q Signature founder, Haya Al Naimi. — Bernama
