BEAUFORT, Feb 24 — Barisan Nasional (BN) is a party that only makes promises that can be fulfilled and for the good and prosperity of the people, Sabah BN chairman Tan Sri Musa Aman said today.

He said unlike the opposition parties which spread lies and made make empty promises, BN kept its promises to the people as could be seen through its track record in developing the state, including building of roads, hospitals and schools.

As such, Musa, who is Chief Minister, reminded the people, to always be alert and not be deceived by empty promises made by the opposition parties.

"We (BN) do not make promises easily. We don’t promise the moon and the stars. We promise what we can keep and deliver to the people,” he said when opening the Sabah Foundation Roadshow at Dataran Bagandang here today.

Also present were Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun, who is also Beaufort Member of Parliament and Sabah Foundation director Datuk Sapawi Ahmad, who is Sipitang Member of Parliament.

Musa said only the BN government was capable of bringing continuous good and progress to the people   through various aid to improve their quality of life.

"As the Chief Minister, I met the people from all over the state. Alhamdulillah, the response from the public, BN leaders and supporters is strong and solid,” he said.

Meanwhile, Musa said the government would continue with efforts to boost development of human capital of youths, as well as ensure jobs for them in agriculture, the manufacturing sector and tourism.

On the roadshow, he said it was the second location from among six to showcase the state government’s efforts and success in developing Sabah. — Bernama
