JOHOR BARU, Feb 13 ― The official birthday celebration for Johor’s ruler, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, which falls on March 23 this year, has been postponed to another date.

Johor Council of Royal Court president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli officially signed and conveyed the postponement through the Johor Royal Press Office today.

"Sultan Ibrahim has decreed that his official birthday celebration, which falls on Friday, March 23, be postponed to a date that will be determined later,” he said in a brief statement to the media today.

However, Abdul Rahim said the public holiday on that date would be maintained.

The Sultan Ibrahim’s official birthday was previously fixed on March 23, in conjunction with his coronation on that date, three years ago.

The birthday of Sultan Ibrahim was previously celebrated on November 22.
