PPBM a ‘disorganised party’, says Ahmad Bashah

ALOR STAR, Feb 10 — Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) is regarded a "disorganised party” which is unable to govern the country as it cannot even solve its internal turmoil stemming from its top leadership, says Kedah Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah.

As such, he said PPBM members should not point fingers at others but instead look at its internal problems as the party leadership’s failure to resolve them.

"The PPBM members themselves are aware of the party’s turmoil and that’s why they lodged a report with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) and several of them quit the party after losing confidence (in the party leadership).

"The people should see for themselves and make their own judgment on what is happening in the party,” he said after the handing over of 500 bicycles to students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Simpang Kuala here today.

Ahmad Bashah, who is also Kedah menteri besar, was commenting on a statement by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday, who described PPBM as a "parti huru-hara” (chaotic party) following its failure to manage and resolve its problems.

It was also reported that several PPBM members who claimed the party’s annual general meeting on Dec 30 last year was unlawful and violated the party constitution had urged the ROS to speed up investigations on the matter. — Bernama
