PETALING JAYA, Feb 7 ― Federal Criminal Investigations Department director Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said those with information on the whereabouts of Muhammad Riduan Abdullah who abducted his and M. Indira Gandhi's daughter Prasana Diksa to co-operate with the police.

In a statement today, he said numerous efforts including asking for the public's help have been made to locate the missing duo.

He said the police have never stopped searching for Muhammad Riduan, formerly known as K. Pathmanathan, in accordance to the Ipoh High Court's verdict handed down on May 30, 2014.

Wan Ahmad Najmuddin also advised the public to refrain from creating further tension in the country by continuously exploiting the issue in any way possible.

On January 29, the Federal Court nullified the conversion of Indira's children to Islam.

On April 2, 2009, Muhammad Riduan converted his three children to Islam without their knowledge and without Indira’s consent, before going to the Shariah court just a few days later to obtain custody rights for them.

Muhammad Riduan then abducted his youngest daughter Prasana, who was 11-month-old then, from Indira. Their whereabouts is still unknown.
