KOTA KINABALU, Feb 7 — The flood evacuation centre at Dewan Komuniti Kota Marudu in Kota Marudu, about 130km from here, closed at 1.30pm today.

The 236 people comprising 102 families who were sheltered there since yesterday have been allowed to return to their respective homes.

The families, from Kampung Kuranji and Kampung Popok Darat, moved to the centre around 3.45pm yesterday.

According to the Civil Defence Force in Sabah, the weather in Kota Marudu currently was cloudy. — Bernama
