117 residents at two Kota Marudu flood evacuation centres this morning

KOTA KINABALU, Feb 6 — Floods in Kota Marudu, located about 130 kilometres from here, have temporarily displaced 117 residents comprising 33 families, who are currently sheltered at two evacuation centres.
According to a Malaysia Civil Defence Force spokesman here, 101 people from 27 families are currently staying at Sekolah Kebangsaan Teritipan, and 16, at Bangunan Rukun Tetangga Salimandut.
Floods inundated two villages, Kampung Baliajung and Kampung Salimandut following continuous rain since 5 pm yesterday. — Bernama
