KUANTAN, Jan 30 ― Flash floods in Bera near here necessitated 110 people to move to an evacuation centre last night.

Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) director Col Zainal Yusof said the residents comprising 26 families were currently sheltered at Surau Tanjung Jaya.

He said the residents, from Taman Perumahan Tanjung Jaya, Simpang Bukit Mendi in Triang, were evacuated around 11pm. ― Bernama
