KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 27 — A man lost his right leg after it was crushed by an oil tanker in a road rage incident in Segamat, Johor.

According to various media reports, the incident happened last Monday at 4.45pm on Jalan Seremban-Segamat near the Jalan Tasek Alai intersection.

A 31-second viral video of the accident taken from the dashboard camera of a car behind the oil tanker has been widely shared on social media.

In the video, a man riding pillion on a motorcycle can be seen alighting from the two-wheeler before attempting to climb up the tanker while it was moving. The man then tried to force his way into the driver’s seat but fell onto the road.

"The case was because two men who were on a motorcycle were dissatisfied with the action of the oil tanker lorry driver who honked,” Segamat district police chief Superintendent Raub Selamat told Malay daily Sinar Harian.

Raub was quoted saying that the victim is being treated at the Segamat District Hospital. His identity is not known at the time of writing.
