KUANTAN, Jan 25 ― The number of flood victims in Maran as at 9 am is 126 comprising 27 families, a decrease from 228 comprising 53 families last night.

Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM), Pahang director, Col (APM) Zainal Yusof said when contacted that the families were sheltered at two evacuation centres.

He said 112 people from 23 families were staying at the centre at Sungai Baru Chedung while 14 others from four families, at Balai Raya Kampung Baru Jara. ― Bernama
