SEBERANG PERAI, Jan 24 — Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) deputy president Datuk Huan Cheng Guan lodged a police report today over an alleged death threat he received via text message.

Huan lodged the report at the Central Seberang Perai police headquarters this morning.

In it, he claimed he received the threatening text message about 3pm yesterday.

"Someone using a number not known to me sent me a message that read ‘cakap banyak kau mati’,” he told reporters after lodging the report. [Translated: Talk too much and you are dead.]

He said he lodged the report to enable police to investigate and locate the person who sent the message.

"I will not be intimidated into silence, this threat will not shut me up, I will continue to voice up against issues of public interest,” he said.

Huan has been vocal on many local issues, particularly on state projects.
