KUANTAN, Jan 11 ― The flood in Raub has receded, allowing 30 residents sheltered at the remaining evacuation centre at Masjid Kuala Semantan to return home by noon today.

According to the Social Welfare Department’s "InfoBanjir” portal, Pekan remained inundated with 254 people from 67 families staying put at five evacuation centres.

The affected residents are sheltered at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Temai (93 people), Pusat Pemindahan Banjir Kampung Pulau Manis (75), Balai Raya Kampung Tanjung Pulai (39), SK Acheh (nine) and Pusat Pemindahan Banjir Kampung Lamir (38). ― Bernama
