ALOR SETAR, Nov 18 — The situation in the flood-hit areas of Kedah has returned to normal.

The last of the evacuees, numbering 54, returned to their homes at 10am today and the two relief centres in Kubang Pasu were closed, said Kubang Pasu Civil Defence Force officer Capt (PA) Kamalruzamal  Kasa.

He said that at the height of the floods which struck several areas in Changlun and Jitra four days ago, more than 300 people were evacuated to several relief centres. —Bernama
