Unique Darul Hana bridge will be new tourist attraction for Sarawak, says deputy tourism minister

KUCHING, Nov 16 — The Darul Hana Bridge will be a new iconic product to attract more tourists to Sarawak said Deputy Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin. 

She said her experience in crossing the bridge that crosses the Sarawak River at the Kuching Waterfront yesterday, was very exciting. 

"This is a new attraction for Sarawak. I am very excited to board the bridge with Datuk Lee Kim Shin (State Assistant Minister for Tourism). Plus the swaying bridge gave a new experience for me. 

"I believe Darul Hana Bridge will be a must visit place for tourists to take pictures and to experience the bridge,” she told reporters after spending an hour at the bridge which was officiated last Saturday. 

Mas Ermieyati and Kim Shin were briefed by the PPES Works (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Lim Jit Yaw on the structure and architecture of the 335-metre bridge that cost RM35 million.  — Bernama
