SUNGAI PETANI, Nov 9 ― The number of flood victims staying at an evacuation centre in Pendang this morning remained at 213 from 56 families.

State Civil Defence director Lt Col (CD) Mohd Zul Khairi Shamsuddin in a statement today said the evacuation centre at Dewan Rakan Sukan, which opened on November 5, was being used to shelter the flood victims from Ayer Puteh, Padang Pusing, Guar Kepayang and Bukit Raya districts.

Meanwhile, he said the Malaysian Civil Defence Force was currently conducting the post flood mission to help clean up homes of the people affected.  ― Bernama
