Power supply in Penang almost fully restored, says TNB

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 — Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has restored 105 out of 113 substations (PE) in Penang that ceased operations since the flood hit the state.
TNB Senior General Manager (Distribution Network) Wan Nazmy Wan Mahmood said in a statement today, of the total, 78 substations were restored via grid while another 27 were using mobile power generator sets.
He said only eight substations were still shut down in Seberang Perai, involving 869 domestic, 48 commercial and four industrial users.
