GEORGE TOWN, Nov 5 — State executive councillor Chow Kon Yeow will be tabling an emergency motion on the disastrous storm and floods that devastated Penang at the state legislative assembly tomorrow morning.
The local government, traffic management and flood mitigation committee chairman said he has already informed the assembly Speaker, Datuk Law Choo Kiang, on the emergency motion.
"Tomorrow morning, I will table the motion at the House and as it is an emergency motion, it will be debated almost immediately after the question and answer session, which is at 11am,” he said in a press conference after visiting some flood hit areas in Air Itam with Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today.
Chow said the emergency motion on the storm and massive floods that hit Penang was to allow all assemblymen a chance to debate on the issue.
