VMY was first launched in 1990, and was subsequently held in 1994, 2007 and 2014.

VMY 2020 will be Malaysia’s fifth edition.

This comes as Najib said the World Tourism Organisation had reported that last year, Malaysia was the world’s 12th most visited country.

Najib said Putrajaya expected that 28 million tourists will visit Malaysia next year.
