A later update said the flight was aborted as there was reportedly no water for the toilets.

Flight Alerts said the plane jettisoned its fuel load over Southend before landing safely at the airport.

The airline later said that it was arranging another flight, MH1D, for affected passengers.

The replacement Airbus A380 will depart Heathrow at 5pm (London) today, and will arrive at KLIA at 1.25pm tomorrow.
