SHAH ALAM, Oct 15 — Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim has invited three former Selangor mentris besar to join him for any good cause for the benefit of the people.

Khalid, who is current Selangor MB Datuk Seri Azmin Ali’s predecessor, said he would not bring himself to support a party just for the sake of doing so, adding that leaders should view politics beyond a party.

"I am willing to work with Umno or these three MBs if it is for a good cause like fighting against corruption or returning water rights to the people.

"And if that is the case, I will invite the MBs to join me together with PAS,” he said at a fundraising event for PAS’ election drive.

Former Umno Selangor MB Tan Sri Abu Hassan Omar had claimed that Khalid would join him, Tan Sri Muhammad Muhamad Taib dan Dr Mohd Khir Toyo to help Barisan Nasional (BN) win Selangor from Pakatan Harapan.

Separately, Khalid welcomed and urged state exco member Datuk Teng Chang Khim to reveal his (Khalid’s) weaknesses should he hop on to BN.

"He should tell... don’t keep quiet. This shows they (DAP) are not transparent,” he said.

The DAP leader, who reportedly said that he would spill the beans on Khalid, however, did not elaborate.

Khalid, who is Port Klang state assemblyman and Bandar Tun Razak MP, was sacked from PKR in 2014 after infighting within the party.

He has since vowed not to contest again, but pledged to assist PAS in the coming election.
