PETALING JAYA, Oct 14 — The Pakatan Harapan rally at Padang Timur today skewed visibly towards older supporters.
Pockets of attendees began trickling in since 3pm for the rally, wiith youths noticeably absent.
Most wore red T-shirts bearing the "Save Malaysia, Eliminate Kleptocracy” theme from today’s gathering.
Joe Tan, a retiree, told Malay Mail Online that he was attending to demand more accountability from the administration.
"First of all, I’m tired of all the corruption going on. The leakages in government funds, and we have seemingly no rights to voice out our dissent, despite the laws guaranteeing our rights to do so,” he said.
The crowd is now around 1,000 people.
Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and other Pakatan Harapan leaders have arrived.
