RM1,900 fine for Malaysians who snuck into Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 — The Sessions Court in Johor fined today two Malaysian men RM1,900 each for sneaking into Singapore through a "special staff route”.

The Star Online reported the duo, Wan Azmi Wan Yahya, 56, and Tan Kok Seong, 40, pleaded guilty before judge Salawati Djambari for failing to show their passports to Immigration authorities at the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex on September 20.

According to the report, over 50 Malaysians have faced charges for leaving and entering the country without showing their passport since the start of the year.
