KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 — The Finance Ministry will be providing a special allocation to improve the conditions at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters (IPD) lock-up.

Second Finance Minister Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani said he would arrange a meeting with the Public Works Department in the near future to solve the problems faced by Dang Wangi IPD regarding the lock-up, including on the building structure and faulty drainage system.

"I have met the police chief for the purpose,” he said at a breaking-of-fast with the residents of Dang Wangi IPD police quarters here today.

Earlier, Johari, who is also Member of Parliament for Titiwangsa, also spent time reviewing the conditions at the lock-up.

Meanwhile, Dang Wangi district police chief ACP Mohd Sukri Kaman said he hoped that the security level at the Dang Wangi IPD lock-up would be enhanced once the repair works completed. — Bernama
