KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak chaired a meeting of the Umno Supreme Council that convened at about 3.30pm at the party headquarters at Menara Dato’ Onn here.

Najib, who is also Umno president, was welcomed at the party headquarters by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is an Umno vice-president also discharging the duties of the deputy president.

Also attending the meeting were Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and Umno treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.

Najib is scheduled to break fast today at the Dewan Merdeka of the Putra World Trade Centre, along with members of the Umno Supreme Council, Umno veterans and leaders of Barisan Nasional component parties. — Bernama
