Driver, seven passengers injured after express bus collides with trailer

JOHOR BARU, June 2 — The driver and seven passengers of an express bus were injured after it collided with a trailer at KM144.6 of the North-South Expressway near Pagoh at 10.45pm yesterday.
Muar police chief ACP Azman Ayob said the bus from Singapore heading to Kuala Lumpur was carrying 24 passengers.
"The bus driver, aged 41, fractured his right leg. Four of the injured were locals and the rest a Singaporean, a British national and a Pakistani, aged 29 to 37 years. All suffered non-life-threatening injuries,” he said in a statement here today.
He added that all the injured were sent to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Centre here. — Bernama
