The driver with the popular ride-sharing company allegedly took a different route despite directions and his accomplice robbed the woman of her belongings near the One Puchong Business Centre.

The driver and his accomplice then drove another five kilometres and dropped Wong off at Koi Kinrara at 10.20pm, almost one hour after her ride started at 9.30 pm.

"I became frightened and started crying and begged them not to hurt me because I’m pregnant,” she reportedly said.

Serdang deputy OCPD Supt Lee Wai Leong said that the police are investigating the matter.

"We have gathered information on the duo and we are tracing them,” he reportedly said.

Uber said that they are assisting and cooperating with authorities on the matter.
