KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 ― Police have given their approval for next Friday's dialogue between Umno minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz and former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the venue host confirmed.
Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub, managing director of Karangkraf that will host the dialogue, said Shah Alam OPCD ACP Shafien Mamat confirmed the approval in a letter.
"Thanks to the police on this confirmation, once again our wish is granted. We take note of all rules given, and will inform the two panelists,” he was quoted saying by local daily Sinar Harian.
Hussamuddin said, however, that only 450 invited people will be allowed to attend this dialogue session, which will not be open to the public like past dialogues hosted by Karangkraf, as a precaution.
The dialogue session on April 7 will kick off at 9pm at the Karangkraf group's complex in Shah Alam, with the invited participants encouraged to come early and comply with the rules.
"Those attending must dress neatly and are not allowed to carry weapons or prohibited items, seats are limited,” he said.
