Two missing students found by Fire and Rescue members

KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 — The espisode of two foreign students from the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus reported missing at Broga Hill in Semenyih since Wednesday night has ended well with their rescue by the Fire and Rescue Department.

Star Online reported that Nyamu Wanyolke, 20, and Katie Clubb,19, were found one kilometre from the hill's peak at 2.45am today.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul was quoted as saying: "They were near a path that had been cleared for surveying work and took shelter in a hut put up by the surveyors.”

A search team comprising the police, the Fire and Rescue Department, Rela and the Civil Defence Department was launched at the popular hiking spot shortly after the report was received on Wednesday night.

The team combed the area for four hours before they called off the search at midnight due to bad weather.

Yesterday, the search resumed till about 7pm.

Food was provided to Wanyolke and Clubb after they were rescued.
