KUALA LUMPUR, March 23 — Security at the Parliament building is assured and is always at an optimum level, says Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

He said the number of personnel on duty while the Dewan Rakyat is in session was adequate.

"Police are always ready and aware of whatever threat,” he told a media conference at Bukit Aman here today when asked to comment on the level of security at the Parliament building, following the attack outside the British Parliament building.

Foreign media reported that a policeman was stabbed to death while the assailant was shot dead and three other civilians were also reported dead and 40 were reported to be injured. — Reuters
