KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) today announced the transfer and coordination of eight senior officers, effective April 27.

In a statement today, its corporate communications head, Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC) Datin Asmawati Ahmad said Terengganu police chief, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Datuk Rosli Ab Rahman would take over as Pahang police chief with the rank of acting Commissioner of Police. 

Bukit Aman Strategic Resources and Technology Department deputy director, DCP Datuk Aidi Ismail will take over Rosli’s place while the commander of PDRM Technical College at Bakri in Muar, Johor, SAC Datuk Mat Kasim Karim will fill in Aidi’s place with the rank of acting DCP.

According to the statement, Bukit Aman Strategic Resources and Technology Department (Telecommunications and Information Systems Division) assistant director, ACP Suhaimi Ismail will take over Mat Kasim’s position with the rank of acting SAC.

Special Tactical Squad 3 (Gambling/Vice/Secret Societies) (I), Secretariat Office of the Inspector-General of Police, Bukit Aman, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Muhammed Hasbullah Ali will assume his new post as assistant director of Organised Crime Special Action Unit, Tactical Squad/Gambling/Vice/Secret Societies (STAGG), Special Tactical Squad 3, CID, Bukit Aman, with the rank of acting SAC.

Meanwhile, deputy head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety (Operations) department, Kedah police headquarters (IPK) ACP Mohamad Shukri Awang will retain his current post, with the rank of acting SAC.

Deputy head of CID (Intelligence/Operations), IPK Penang, ACP Gan Tack Guan will assume his new post as assistant director of STAGG Intelligence, Special Tactical Squad 3, CID, Bukit Aman.

Staff Officer, Management Department, IPK Sarawak, Supt Razali Ibrahim will assume the position of deputy head of the Prevention and Community Safety (Strategic Planning) department, IPK Perak with the rank of acting ACP. — Bernama
